Asociaţia Medicală Română (AMR) este asociaţie naţională, profesional-ştiinţifică, deplin autonomă din punct de vedere structural, funcţional şi economic, fără scop patrimonial (nonprofit), constituită pe baza dreptului la liberă asociere în conformitate cu prevederile O.G. 26/ 2000 şi nr. 37/2003.
AMR este reprezentantul României în relaţiile profesional-ştiinţifice medicale internaţionale (în prezent World Medical Association (WMA) și Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes (UEMS)) şi naţionale (în prezent Colegiul Medicilor din România) şi reprezintă forumul de dialog profesional-ştiinţific medical al societăţilor, asociaţiilor şi fundaţiilor de profil, legal constituite, afiliate AMR-ului.
The Romanian Medical Association (AMR) is a national, professional-scientific association, fully autonomous from a structural, functional and economic point of view, without patrimonial purpose (non-profit), established on the basis of the right to free association in accordance with the provisions of O.G. 26/2000 and no. 37/2003.
The AMR is the representative of Romania in international (currently World Medical Association (WMA) and Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes (UEMS) and national (currently Romanian College of Physicians) medical professional-scientific relations and represents the forum for medical professional-scientific dialogue of the legally constituted medical societies, associations and foundations affiliated to the AMR.
